Rosenblum was diagnosed with advanced breast cancer at the age of 42, following several egregious misdiagnoses. It is a hybrid collection of journal entries, letters and essays written jointly by Butler and Rosenblum, a lesbian couple experiencing the end stages of life and the impact of loss.
